The Postăvaru massif is one of the most accessible and popular mountain ranges in the Brasov area, located between Brasov, Poiana Brasov and Râşnov. The Piatra Mare massif is a spectacular mountain range, located southeast of Brașov, between the resorts of Timișu de Sus, Dâmbul Morii and the Predeal area. Although it has moderate altitudes, it is famous for its wild landscapes, dense coniferous forests and impressive natural formations.

The most famous attraction in the area is the Seven Stairs Canyon, a spectacular route with metal stairs, bridges and waterfalls, considered one of the most attractive adventure experiences in Romania. The massif also offers access to the Piatra Mare Peak, an excellent viewpoint over Brașov, the Bucegi Mountains and Postăvaru.
